It’s time for a good butt kicking don’t you think? I’ve been waiting to post a video about one of my all-time favorite classes to teach and take and I’m glad I waited until I got my new GoPro camera to film it…sort of. I’m still working out some of the kinks…like why it cut out 7 minutes of a 20 minute workout!? You’re in luck because now it’s about a 15 minute workout so really, there’s no excuse not to do it. And, If you’re one of the millions (like I am) that is stuck in a frozen tundra, you can stay indoors and kick your own butt.
You can also find this workout under the VITA SWEATS tab on this site or on my You Tube channel. Subscribe HERE. Please?
…why are you still here? OHHHHHH You want to know who randomly won the most amazing, coziest, thumb hole-ist TrailHeads Goodbye Girl Running top on the planet?
The winner is…
MELISSA GAINES-MOW from Forever Fitting In who is also suffering through this deep freeze! Be frozen no more Melissa!
If you didn’t get my email, please email me: allie at vita train 4 life dot com (without all the spaces and an actual dot!) to collect your winnings!
THANK YOU to everyone who entered. I’ll be giving away more TrailHeads gear in the future so check back every first Friday of the month when it’s all TrailHeads, all the time. Also – you still have until January 17th to get 20% OFF anything on the site with coupon code VTRAIN20. Happy shopping and sweating my friends!
Have you ever done a cardio kick box workout? What’s your favorite type of cardio workout?
Have you ever won anything?
Allie- LOVED this! I would love to take one of your classes. You seem SO FUN and motivating! I am emailing you today about contributing a video but this one would be pERFECT!
Thanks so much Emma! I’m excited to contribute to MOM STRONG! I would definitely clean this one up a bit since my GoPro got up and went with some of it but, I can absolutely do a kickboxing workout. I’ll email you later today. So excited!
Oh, WOW!!! While I could never keep up with you in a class (at least not right now, I’m working on it), I LOVED seeing you in action in that video! I am now so, so sad that I can’t take a class with you. It’s so unfair!! You are so full of energy!! I’d be the girl in the very back who is five moves behind and always facing left when everyone is facing right, but is totally pumped up to be there and never misses a class. I actually feel inspired just listening you tell me to jab and squat even though I’m just sitting here. I think I’m going to go do the elliptical machine and pretend I’m in your class.
I also notice that you have no jiggly parts on your arms or thighs when you jump about. I didn’t even know that was possible for a human person. Go figure. –Lisa
OMG I am cracking up b/c I can picture this whole scenario! I would love to have someone like you in class who is motivated and not just sighing and rolling their eyes when they get frustrated. Someday…
Maybe I can record some motivating voiceovers for your elliptical workouts 🙂
And, once again, thank you for the incredible ego boost. I need it today because it’s snowing AGAIN and I’m supposed to run 10. Ahhhhhhhh
Yay for Melissa! She’s going love her Trailheads gear!
Kickboxing ranks up there with Zumba for me. How do you make it look so easy? Any classes that require coordination & balance at an accelerated pace terrify me!
That’s so funny because I have this image of you as perfectly coordinated! I’m SURE you could do a kickboxing class. It’s not nearly as complicated as Zumba 🙂 There’s really no need for you to be balanced or coordinated since you’re so awesome just the way you are *hug*
Sadly, anything that requires real coordination precludes me! I am comical to watch. 🙂 I did go to my boot camp yesterday morning for the first time in quite a while and my whole upper body is a little bit sore today. But sore in a good way. 🙂
That is great about Boot Camp! That is a fun (never boring) workout. Glad to hear it!
so Allie, this is the best thing ever. I have been trying to build a list of indoor workouts I can do without having to go out in -2 degree weather and this is perfect! If I really want to kick my own butt I’ll do it twice. I can’t wait to try. I am at work right now wishing I had on workout gear! lol! What is awesome about this is that I can totally do it really early before I go to work. Thank you thank you!
YAY!!! I’m so glad! I’m going to try an retrieve the “missing” 10 minutes so I will post an update if I can figure it out. You have to let me know if you do it…would love to get your feedback.
This is perfect. Seriously I have been looking for a great indoor cardio workout for myself and think I could totally manage to do this. Just can’t say thank you enough Allie for sharing this here today!! 🙂
I’m so glad!! This makes me beyond happy Janine. Now go get your sweat on!
WOO HOO!!! I am so excited! It is getting a bit warmer 20! So that means I can run outside…well once I can locate a sidewalk or trail.
Thank you so much!!!
I’m excited too – just not about this weather! So glad you won and can’t wait until you try it out…whenever that may be 🙂
Amazing!. I love your energy. Talk about high intensity! You camera did an awesome job too.
Ha ha thanks Hope! Maybe the camera got tired of filming. Looks like I have to whip it into shape!
I LOVE that you’re posting workouts on YouTube! I used to teach a yoga class called yoga fight club – it was some trend that began in NYC a few years back. It was yoga and kickboxing combined. It was a ton of fun and tough!
OMG that class sounds perfect for me! I love it and I can totally see you rocking it. That is all kinds of awesome. Seriously.
I used to teach a yoga with weights class way back in the day when I had time but this, this is much cooler 🙂
Kickboxing is awesome! I actually just took a class last night! I can’t imagine recording myself doing it, though. I’m not even half as coordinated as you — or buff!
Coordination and buff-ness be damned! Cardio kickboxing is so much fun for me so I’m so happy to hear you love it too. I hope you continue to take the class and have fun with it.
That’s so awesome! I haven’t done cardio kickboxing in forever. I’d take one of your classes any day!
Now THAT would be fun! Thanks Angela.
I LOVE this Allie!! I love kickboxing workouts because they are fun and super effective. You have some awesome moves here! I see that your GoPro is really working out for you! 😉
Thanks Britt! As for GoPro – it cut out half my video and I’m not really sure why?! I love so much about it but need to obviously learn more. Back to youtube tutorials for me…
You are so inspiring. Love your videos. I need to get to one of your classes. Unless you’re willing to come to me. It’s only about 1500 miles.
Does Sunday at 9:30 work? I’ll just run there. Leaving now… 🙂
I will totally use this workout next time I can’t get to the gym, Allie. And I saw your comment above about fixing it – I was confused about how you managed to get a 20 minute workout into 11 minutes!
Clearly I’m also confused about how to use my camera! I’m hoping to recover the “lost” time and re-post. I’ll let you know when I do. Thanks Dana!
Whoa, you rock with this video! And I’m proud to tell you that we have the exact same arms and legs! And by exact same, I mean not even remotely close. In my dreams, maybe?
Congratulations to Melissa!
I hope you take your high energy into this non-polar-vortexed weekend!
Thanks Tamara! I obviously take pictures exactly like you. I don’t know how I do it either since I use my camera phone most of the time. 🙂 Have a great weekend – it’s warming up to 45!
So kick azz my friend! I can’t wait to try it next week! You know this is my favorite form of working out!
I know, I know!! So wish we could team teach a class. That would be AMAZING!
I loved it! Usually running but I am going to my first Spin class tomorrow morning so my favorite may change! Congrats Melissa!
That is awesome! You know I teach spinning, right? You have to let me know how it goes. I hope you love it.
I love cardio kickboxing and I would love it even more if I could take one of your classes live. Since I can’t right now, you can bet I will do this workout – I will probably go through it several times just cause I have issues and like long workouts!!!
You are awesome! The football runs and tuck jumps are some of my favorites and those snap kicks – love them!!!!
I hear you! It NEEDS to be at least 20 minutes. I’m going to try and recover the lost minutes and repost. If not, I’ll happily film another one. Thanks Kim!
This is awesome! I used to really get into kickboxing when I was in high school (those were the days!). I’ll definitely be popping over to sub to your YT channel so I can use your workouts. With my schedule I just can’t get in to a gym to take a class, so YT and DVDs are my saviors!!
That is great – thank you! Have fun with them 🙂
Love your new camera! Great workout!
So fill me in on how you are getting to giveaway all this awesome TrailHeads gear. 🙂
Thanks Carla! I can email you the details about TrailHeads 🙂
You’re adorable, I want to put you in my pocket!
I’m Pinning this! (have you joined Pinterest yet?)
I would love to spend some time in your pocket 🙂
Thank you for pinning it!! I’m not on yet but it’s on my “to do” list this week. I’ll be sure to let everyone know 🙂
Thank you for posting this video. I may need to try it this week while I’m on solo parenting duty!
Yikes! Good luck with that!
