Since I have exactly one week until Triathlon Nationals in Omaha, NE I’m actually wanting time to slow the hell down! I seriously cannot believe the race is almost here, and that triathlon season is almost over for me. Instead of wallowing in self-pity (I’ll do that later) I’m linking up with Angela at Happy Fit Mama to high five this Friday despite my mixed emotions. Do you see the sacrifices I make for you?

If you have read this blog for any amount of time, you know I love my gear. Clothing, watches, shoes, you name it and I want the latest, greatest, most fun stuff the athletic world can throw at me. Today I want to share some of my recent finds with you.

Happy shopping!

1. Good Luck Box

The women behind this perfect idea for athletes, and those of us who love and encourage them, reached out to me a few months ago asking if I wanted to sample their box. Ok, that sounded really wrong but stay with me. The concept is simple – send someone gearing up for a big race or their first race or basically any race, a box of “luck” to let them know they can do it!

I have been on the giving and receiving end of goodie boxes and bags that I have put together from all my favorite things, or that friends have put together for me. I cannot tell you how much it helps and the encouragement you can draw from it! Good Luck Box has taken the shopping and boxing out of the equation and streamlined your good luck love so you can easily ship it all over the country.

Simply go to the website and fill out some basic information about the recipient and presto, the box of good luck will appear at their door and their gratefulness will abound! You also get to include a personal note. I addressed mine to my body from my mind…

The entire process was simple, my box arrived in plenty of time and I will definitely use each and every item in it. Plus, when it comes with Momentum Jewelry, you know it’s legit!

2. Olympic Gear

So you may already know that I just had to purchase the Brooks Victory Launch 3 running shoes but, there is so much more out there to show your Team USA pride, and look cool while doing it.

Luckily for me (and you) Women’s Running put it all in one article. These are my top two faves:

Costa Del Mar USA Limited Edition Sunglasses | $189

Nike Team USA Collection

There are tons of t-shirts, tanks, shoes, shorts, packs but I really love these Hurley Phantom Free flops for $70

3. Lumo

If you have not yet heard about Lumo Run technology, something tells me you will. Lumo touts itself as “more than just a tracker” and it absolutely is. I was sent a Lumo device to test out but I have yet to do it. Once I am able to run several times with it, I will be doing a complete review.

What is LUMO?

I am not a fan of running with my giant iPhone 6 Plus so we will see how it works both with and without it. I’m hoping to get some good feedback on my form and maybe see where I can make some improvements in my pelvic drop, since my butt pain tells me that is an issue. My coach also mentioned, at the beginning of the year, that I tend to “break” when I pick up the pace, which is obviously the opposite of what you want to do. Once I have all the info, I will report back!

Not only does Lumo promise to give you real time advice on your runs but also provides specific exercises to work on your weaknesses. One of the best parts? It’s machine washable, which is more than I can say for my stank HR monitor. Ugh.

4. #LiveUnlimited | Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Summer Campaign

Although I am late to the game on this one (sorry Jesica!) it is a very worthy cause that you can still donate to and be a part of. The best way to contribute is by buying this awesome bracelet at Endorphin Warrior for only $22, $6 of which is donated directly to MDA.

I was also given a bracelet to give to someone who is the embodiment of #LiveUnlimted and that person is Danielle Hastings of The T-Rex Runner. For the past two weeks, Danielle has been in Nicaragua building a bridge.

Danielle, on the bridge she helped build, with all the children who came to adore her awesomeness while she was there.

Danielle, on the bridge she helped build, with all the children who came to adore her awesomeness while she was there.

She lived in a tent among 12 strangers, slept in puddles of water (because she’s in a jungle), sweat through all of her clothes, bathed in mosquito repellent (I’m guessing) and is just working her ass off and being a better person than almost anyone I know. Think about how you spent your summer vacation, then read about what Danielle has done to change the lives of hundreds of people, and hang your head in shame.

Thank you Danielle, for living unlimited and literally making the world a better place.
